COVID-19 and Infectious Diseases Policy
At the recommendations of the CDC, WHO, and all state and local laws, and upon the advice of our community Epidemiologist, the NTXB, LLC has developed the following protocols to protect our community and events regarding COVID-19.
At this time, NTXB highly encourages all participants that are able to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The CDC recommends everyone aged 6 and older get an updated bivalent dose of the vaccine, regardless of receiving original vaccination. We encourage all participants to receive this updated vaccine within 6 months of attending our event.
In addition, if you are feeling ill, we recommend you stay home. If NTXB, LLC are notified of your absence due to COVID related symptoms 24 hours in advance of the start of the event, ticket refunds may be considered. Proof of a positive COVID test in advance of the event will qualify for receiving a full refund. It is highly recommended that all participants take a rapid COVID test within 72 hours prior to arrival at the gate.
If an individual begins to feel ill after admittance to an event, or displays symptoms of COVID-19, including fever over 100 degrees, we will have rapid PCR COVID tests available in our medical station. If an individual tests positive for COVID during the event, they will be asked to leave the event. We will also perform contact tracing of their immediate contacts, such as car or tent mates, and offer COVID testing to them.
NTXB will also provide hand sanitizer available at volunteer stations and extra handwashing stations throughout the event. We encourage good hygiene practices to prevent the spread of illness. The CDC has relaxed mask requirements in most instances, however, it is still recommended to wear a mask in confined spaces where social distancing may not be possible. Masks will be required to be worn by all participants over 2 years of age while being processed at the Gate upon entry. Theme camps or volunteer stations may choose to require masks to enter their spaces and may post signage to notify participants of their request. Please use social distancing throughout the event when possible. Repeated refusal to comply with masking or social distancing requests may result in eviction from the event.
NTXB recommends that when possible, refraining from social gatherings or large crowds prior to the event may aid in lessening the likelihood of asymptomatic spread. We also recommend participants get tested upon their return home after the event and again 5 days later to prevent community spread.
We appreciate your understanding and assistance in implementing these measures so that we may all gather together as safely as possible. This policy is subject to change if the impacts of COVID-19 change our circumstances.
