After 20 incredible years of gathering, creating, and celebrating at Armadillo Acres, it’s time to find a new place to call home. With the landowner retiring, NTXB, LLC and Myschievia leadership are actively searching for a new space where our community can continue to thrive.

Myschievia is a Leave No Trace event built on accountability, creativity, and honoring the land we gather on. We come together each year to build something beautiful—driven by artistic creativity and self-expression. To keep our event sustainable and welcoming for all, we’re looking for a location that can support our unique needs. Below are the key features we’re looking for.

Key Features We’re Looking For

High Priority Needs:

Size: At least enough usable event space to allow for 800+ people to camp (or more to allow for future growth)
Proximity to DFW: Within 3 hours driving distance of DFW Airport.
Bonfire Area: A safe space for large bonfires and burnable art . We’re happy to collaborate with landowners and local fire departments to ensure safety and compliance.
Terrain: Moderately flat land with a mix of open fields and shaded areas.
Zoning: Must be appropriately zoned (If Applicable) for Outdoor Gatherings, including recreation, special events, and resource use (e.g., EFU or Farm and Forest).
Access & Roads: Ingress and egress roads must be wide enough and with enough vertical clearance to allow for Fire/Emergency Vehicle Access. (Compliant with local codes)
Camping: Must allow for the installation of camping materials (e.g., the ability to stake tents/structures into the ground for wind and stability).
Privacy: Limited or no visibility from nearby communities and roads.
Noise: Minimal sound exposure to nearby communities and neighbors.
Traffic Impact: Limited increase in traffic affecting local communities.
Parking: A flat, cleared area for parking, enough space to allow for parking for the participants .
Emergency Services: Reasonable access to Fire, Law Enforcement (LEO), and Medical Services.

Nice to Haves:

Size: At least 100+ acres in size.
Wooded Land: At least 50% of the property is heavily treed.
Contiguous Space: A largely contiguous space where no area (e.g., effigy, parking, etc.) is too remote to present logistical challenges.
Setup Access: Ability to access the site the weekend before the event for builds and setup, with no or minimal additional charges.
Cleared Land: Space available for RVs and large vehicles.
Security: Securable gate with a natural choke point during the event.
Insurance & Zoning: Pre-insured and appropriately zoned for recreational use.
Permitted Event Space: Existing, permitted, and insured event space (subject to county-specific ordinances).
Ownership Mission: Arts and/or event-centered ownership or organizational mission that aligns with the ethos of NTXB, LLC.
Fireworks Capability: Space capable of hosting a fireworks show.
Privacy: No visible neighbors.
Sound: Neighbors outside of the event’s sound radius.
Emergency Services: Close proximity to emergency services
Vendor Access: Within regular service range of porta-potties, UTVs, firewood, and other necessary vendors.
