NewYearSchievia Cancelled

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we must announce that NewYearsChievia 2021 will have to be canceled. We have had a significant number of leads and critical volunteers test positive for COVID in the last week. The Omicron variant is hitting DFW pretty hard it would seem and we do not feel we can safely hold an event given the circumstances. We appreciate all the hard work that has gone into putting on this event, more than you all can know. We desperately want to burn with our chosen families again but it would seem now is not the time. We are still working through all of the details but at this time, we will honor all tickets sold for the next event we hold in future (hopefully October 2022!). 

Some of the funds raised for this event have already been spent on PPE and other necessities (which can be used for a future event) as well as equipment rentals and portos. We would also really like to pay the landowners at Armadillo Acres, even if we don’t have an event this time, because we know they depend on events like ours to sustain and COVID has hit them particularly hard. We also have year round expenses such as warehouse storage fees, web hosting fees, legal and accounting fees, and taxes that the funds from the tickets sold for NYE will help sustain until we can have another in person event. It would help tremendously if you are able to allow us to honor your tickets at a later date rather than refunding, and quite honestly and transparently, we simply do not have the funds to refund all tickets at this time, but we will absolutely do our best to accommodate as many refunds as needed. We understand that times are tough for everyone right now so if you would prefer a refund, email here and we can work out those details. 


We are incredibly sorry that it has come to this only days before the event. We know how much you all have been looking forward to and dare I say needing this time to commune and celebrate together. We hope that you all find safe alternate ways to ring in the new year. Here’s hoping that we will all be together again for 2022! Be sure to get your booster if you have not already.
