While we got off to a bit of a rocky start with an unavoidable delay, we had an excellent turn out both at the venue and streaming on Discord! Here's what went down: Your leads for 2026
Temple and Effigy Proposals We had so many wonderful and well thought out proposals - it was so hard to choose! But you know... we had to. LLC Update Join the LLC! They need interns! What does an intern do?
Adopting the Burning Man Ten Principles The community voted to adopt the Burning Man Ten Principles! Here's what they are:
We also added the addition of core Myschievia principles: Consent and Playful Mischief Becoming an Official Regional Burn The community also voted to become an Official BMORG Regional Burn! Everything about Mys will remain the same, we will just be on the list of Official Regional Burns which gains us access to:

The final appearance of Mys 2025 lost and found will be at this town hall. If you think you left something behind, show up and grab it! Aside from Effigy and Temple presentations and voting, we'll also be voting on a couple of important issues we'd love the community to give their informed input on - GUIDING PRINCIPALS Myschievia's eight guiding principals are:
We'll be voting on whether to adopt BMORG's ten principals:
You can read more about the BMORG Principals here: https://burningman.org/about-us/10-principles/ BECOMING A BMORG OFFICIAL REGIONAL BURN We'll also be voting on whether or not we want to become an official Burning Man Regional Burn. Here are some reasons why we're interested:
If we get a positive response from the community, the only conditions we don't currently meet is a sponsorship from an existing regional and the adoption of the BM Ten Principals above. We have a plan to seek out a sponsor after the vote. What do y'all think? Let us know how you feel and then come to Summer Town Hall to vote about it! Deep Ellum Art Company and streaming in the Myschievia Discord server 2pm Saturday June 13 See you there!
Things to keep in mind for your ideas:
Accessibility: Make sure all burners, even those without the ability to climb a ladder or stairs, can participate in the art. Feasibility: Try to keep it in reasonable terms as if it can be made structurally sound, built by human hands, and within a decent budget. Environmental impact: We can't use pressure treated wood or chemical-based paints or dyes. Size and portability: Effigy must be no larger than 20’x20’x20’ at the time of incineration. The structure must be modular & transportable in 2 26’ box trucks. Temple: must be no larger than 12’x12’x12’ at the time of incineration. The structure must be modular and transportable in 1 15’ box truck and must be able to be relocated from the temple site to the burn scar. Start sending in your ideas and don't forget to attend Summer Town Hall on June 13 @ 2pm to check out the ideas and vote on them! Facebook Summer Town Hall Event Discord Summer Town Hall Event |
