Did you know that Armadillo Acres, Myschievia's home, needs some attention every year?
These campsites don't clear themselves, buckaroos! The Land Ops volunteers will be out four weekends this year picking up deadfall, filling holes, removing small trees, clearing roads and trails, and making Armadillo Acres the hospitable location we know and love for our little community in the woods. Come swing axes, operate chainsaws, weed out underbrush, and toss around fallen tree limbs with us! You have four weekends to choose from - 8/19, 9/2, 9/16, and 9/23 - or, hell, be there for all of 'em. I can tell you from experience that it's a lot of work but a wonderful time and truly rewarding. The Myschievia Effigy & Temple Associates will be having a meeting on Sunday June 25th at 6pm on Google Meet. This will be a chance for us to meet everyone that is interested in helping with these projects. We will start discussing the plan for both the effigy & temple builds. Art tickets provide general admission for adults 18 and up and are limited to 2 tickets per transaction. Child and infant tickets will also be available and are also limited to 2 per transaction and must include an adult Art ticket purchase for the legal guardian of said minors. Tickets are $150 and proceeds are used to fund Art Grants for Myschievian artists bringing projects to the Piney Playa. Summer Town Hall was a delightful mix of important information, lovely presentations, voting votes, random shouts, and applause! If you missed it, you're obviously a terrible person. But I'll give you them sweet sweet deets anyway.

META (Myschievia Effigy & Temple Associates) would like to get as many people involved in these builds as we possibly can. These projects are such an integral part of our event! It is an amazing sense of accomplishment to be a part of such a large project and we would like to share that experience with everyone who is willing to help. Many hands make light work!
We need builders of all skill levels. Do not be afraid to join us just because you don’t feel experienced. We are happy to teach people who are willing to learn and not afraid to use power tools. Just make sure you sign the waiver first. We don’t just need builders! We need support volunteers as well. We will need people to help with graphics to keep everyone up to date on our latest activity. We need people to help keep the build teams fed & hydrated. We are looking for build locations, do you have an airconditioned workshop available we can use in the boiling summer months? We will be on the hunt to reclaim old untreated lumber to save rising lumber costs. Do you have a truck and would be willing to be on the list of people we can call to pick up materials? Can you sew? Can you paper mache? Are you good at networking to find people to fill needs like a project like this might have? We will be having a Zoom meeting June 25th at 6pm to meet everyone that’s interested and start to discuss the plan for each build. If you are interested in volunteering, we will find a job for you! Here's what you can look forward to: Theme Camps Fair Are you part of a theme camp? Come show off what you're about! Bring things that represent your camp and set up a spot where the community can ask you about what you do and why you do it! Effigy and Temple Selection Listen to the effigy and temple selections, think about them and discuss with your equally judgy friends, and then vote on which option you think will burn best! NO PROXY VOTES. Must be present to vote. Volunteer Shirt Showcase Do you have a vintage volunteer shirt? One you designed? A shirt that displays the team you're best at volunteering for? Wear them to Town Hall and show off how cool volunteering swag is! Batcave and LLC powerpoint updates included.
