 So you're going to Myschevia, and you want to volunteer for Sanctuary?
ALL SANCTUARY VOLUNTEERS NEED TRAINING ANNUALLY! There is one scheduled Sanctuary training for Myschevia 2019 in Austin on August 10th. Additional trainings will be held in Dallas (7/27), Denton (8/25), DFW Safety Extravaganza (9/15), and on-land (Fri 10/11). Check the calendar for details! EVERYONE NEEDS LISTENER TRAINING! It's one hour of mostly radical listening with some fun exercises peppered in to keep you awake. We will accept any Sanctuary Listener training you have completed in the most recent 12 months before Myschevia. YES, WE ACCEPT TRAINING FROM OTHER BURNS (but please read our packet at the top of your shift)! MHA's & SHIFT SUPERVISORS ALSO NEED SUPERVISOR TRAINING! (Don’t worry, it’s just a 30-min add-on to Listener training.) Have real-world mental health experience? You're qualified to take MHA Training. Have worked at least one listener shift and want to help supervise? You're qualified to take Shift Supervisor Training. Time for the ticket roll call! As you know, LLC provided us with guaranteed incentive tickets for last year's volunteers, so there will be NO CRITICAL VOLUNTEER tickets this year. If you already have a ticket, great! If not, start with Texas Ticket Fairy (which should be live for Myschievia by July 14th). Next, try personal trades! Safety team leads are working to connect our volunteers with available tickets. If you are planning to come to Myschievia and volunteer for Sanctuary, I will add you to the Safety team database. This is not a guaranteed ticket, and you should definitely keep looking through other channels! Please let me know your ticket status via email.
