Gatekeepers

Gatekeepers handle ticket-taking and the more logistical part of arrivals. They:

  • Check photo ID against names on ticket list.
  • Get participants to sign the waivers.
  • Check participants for sufficient food, water, shelter.
  • Distribute wristbands for adults/minors.
  • Media/press check-in.
  • Send them on to Greeters.

Because of the nature of these tasks, we ask that Gatekeepers must not be incapacitated.

Greeters

Greeters welcome participants to Myschievia and help acclimate first-timers to our event. They:

  • Go over the main points of the Survival Guide.
  • Show them Theme Camp placement and Camping Zones on the City Planning map.
  • Go over the unloading and parking procedure.

Greeting participants is one of the easiest ways to get involved and meet people. It's seen as the party at the gate where you warm participants up for Myschievia, but it's also a test to assure participants know the rules and can enjoy themselves safely.

Parking

Parking will be stationed at Greeter Station and will be staffed by friendly Greeters who will point out parking locations at the crossroads making sure that cars are not blocking roadways or other vehicles in.
