At 3pm the Batcave meeting began at Dunn Bros. Coffee.

Major Tom, Simple Civilian, Geo, Sloan, Wayward, Mark, Debra, Sherri, and Toast were present. Vern showed up around 4.

Issues Discussed:

  • Role of the Batcave:
    1. Interface between community and NTXB LLC
    2. Liaison between the LLC and the community
    3. Relieve LLC Responsibilities when possible
    4. Resolve LLC deadlocks (rarely if ever)
    5. Lead selection
    6. Maintain Accountability - communicate with leads, assist leads
    7. Outreach for growth
    8. Policy consultation for Myschievia.
  • Sound Policy: Theme camps should be as descriptive as possible for best placement arrangements.
    1. Register sound equipment
    2. Policy in place and in survival guide to allow positioning, resolution etc. by Sound Marshall or other authorized lead and llc.
  • Leads: Still need lead for Theme camp placement, City planner.Ice lead: WayWard, Tom.
  • Centralizing the information: update ntxb.org, rely on that so new people don't have to look in several places and sign up for a bunch of emails and social networking services. Also more recent pictures on website. Create a chat list for non-planning announcements to keep people in the loop. Bring back the Firecracker. Vista print business cards with website.
  • Effigy: Nothing resolved. Heard Demon Monk was bringing The Freak, also barrel and flowers idea on table since last town hall, also modular flower concept still on table. Leadership is needed. There will only be one burn area at event so all burning must take place there. Multiple burns dependent on ability to refill firetruck. Debra and Geo offer their yards for building.

Batcave MO:

  • communicate via email list (batcave@ntxb.org)
  • meet regularly, every two weeks currently
  • post open meeting minutes to ntxb.org archive
  • put info in firecrakcer
  • Issues should be brought with solutions rather than simple discussions of problems or ideas
    about what would be nice.
  • LLC deals with issues regarding liability, safety, insurance, finance.
