Ark of Myschievia at Burning Flipside 2011

Myschievians who attended Burning Flipside saw our dream realized on Saturday, May 28 when the Krewe of Myschievia fired on the Ark with the Giant Flame Cannon. The Ark of Myschievia, our 2010 effigy, had enjoyed a 6-month stay of execution thanks to a burn ban last October. Then she was granted a few more minutes thanks to some technical difficulties, but really, we hadn't expected to burn her at all. A second burn ban had threatened to separate the Ark from her firey destiny yet again, but the ban was lifted at the last minute, so we had to scramble to get her burned. Special thanks to the Krewe of Myschievia for making the impossible possible, to the Myschievia Rangers old and new who showed up in their shirts to work the burn perimeter, and to the gracious citizens of Flipside for giving us the opportunity to finish what we started. We enjoyed bringing a little piece of Myschievia to y'all; it was fun to return the favor from when y'all brought us The Freak to burn at Myschievia 2009. Once again, cross-pollination between the regional burns yields nothing but awesome for all of us.

We are already planning for Myschievia 2011, which will return to Armadillo Acres on October 6-10, 2011. Tickets will go on sale in July, so stay tuned!
