About the Event

Myschievia is a temporary community that exists as a forum for participant driven creativity and artistic self-expression. There are no spectators, no cash transactions are permitted*, and the event is organized entirely by volunteers. Respect, community, inclusivity, and acceptance are driving principles of the event.

Gift Economy

If you need something, ask for it. If you have it, gift it. Give freely and responsibly of yourself. A gift or need does not need to be a material item. It could be a hug, a helping hand in a neighbors camp, a friendly ear, or some form of artistic expression or performance.

Leave No Trace

The fundamental ideal of "pack it in, pack it out" applies at this event. All trash, art, or evidence of our occupation of the land should be removed by the participants at the end of the event. Each theme camp should have an Earth Guardian who will inspect the area surrounding the camp to make sure it is clear of all refuse. We also need volunteer who would be willing to be Earth Guardian for the entire event and help return the land to a pristine condition for site sign off on at noon on the Tuesday following the event.
